Match: Brightfire Banshees 2 - 2 V: The final touchdown
The Lizardmen had very bad luck in the first half losing several opportunities to get the ball to fumbling. The elves scored the only touchdown of the first half in a textbook play, which ended in a nice pass to their mercenary blitzer, who easily ran it across the line. The lizardmen came back strongly in the second half and managed to score the equaliser early on. Classic lizardman tactics were the key, with sauruses supporting skinks in a cage formation. The elves inched ahead again this time with a long pass across the field. Finally the lizardmen crawled down the pitch for the draw, leaving the elves without an opportunity to try to score again. The elves' mercenary, drafted in specially to replace their dead blitzer, deserved a special mention as she scored both touchdowns.

Match: Brightfire Banshees 2 - 4 Hellpit Hellraisers
The Elves suffered an early set back when two of their team were badly hurt in the first few minutes of the game. The Skaven capitalised on this with a quick touchdown, but the Elves came back to score again. The first half ended with the rats up by one, but the Elves scored again at the start of the second half. However the Skaven were able to take down several elves and then made use of the gaps in the field this left. The Skaven scored twice more, running rings around the depleted Elves. The Elves were denied a final chance to kick, due to a riot disrupting the last turn.

Match: The Blood 1 - 3 V: The final touchdown
In a rather interesting game, one saurus was injured by a thrall and another one scored a touch down. The vampires did their best to get the ball down the field but their plays were constantly blocked by the lizardmen.

The Elves got in with an early touchdown, but the humans blocked hard and came back strong. The elves never looked like they could get back in the game and the humans ended up with a convincing victory.

Match: Brightfire Banshees 1 - 0 The Blood
The stadium was over capacity which resulted in two riots during the first half. The elves got a surprise touch down in the first half despite the Vampires causing mayhem. The second half saw the Vampires trying to equalise, but although they managed to kill the Elves' star thrower, Sylver Melith, they failed to score. The Vampires appeared to be extremely hungry as four thralls were drained of blood during the match. Thalia: I really have no idea exactly how we ended up in a position to score our touch down, as things went incredibly badly for the elves during the first half, luckily things seemed to be going even more badly for the Vampires. I don't think I've ever seen so many Vampires decide to lunch on their own team. However I could have done without losing my thrower to a really nasty block during the second half. All in all, not my best match, and Paul really deserved a touch down in the second half; it was just bad luck on his Vampire picking up the ball that meant it never happened.

Skittythe Scuttle was replaced by a mercenary, and cannin Fodda came in as a Journeyman.
Jamie: This game was rather satisfying for me, as most of the risky plays came off; some of the result is because of good placement and tactics on my part, and some if it is down to damn good luck. For instance, picking up the ball a few squares away from my endzone with a gutter runner (after surrounding and battering andy's catcher), passing to my stormvermin, going for it twice, handing it off to my gutter runner in his half (in a thrower's tackle zone), dodging out and running in for a touchdown, all in one turn and without using a reroll was *extremely* fun, but pretty jammy, even if the riskiest rolls were on 3s. On the other hand, had I not had the right rats in the right places it would have been impossible.
More luck included a ball bouncing from my downed gutter runner into the hands of a linerat to score my first td (which probably wasn't deserved considering I had delayed a turn to get spps on a different gutter), and knocking an opposing player onto the loose ball to bounce it happily into just two tackle zones in the last turn, nice and easy for a gutter to jump in and out and score once more.
Andy's luck wasn't quite as strong, and in fact the lucky break that led to his only touchdown was mainly due to me concentrating my forces too tightly in front of his cage, and leaving a vast open space on my right wing. All-in-all, a loooong game, but a fun one, and, in the main, fairly by-the-book with regards to the classic Skaven plays on display. I probably shouldn't count on luck as much in the next couple of games though, I think I've had my fair share for the moment.

Match: V: The final touchdown 3 - 2 Hellpit Hellraisers
Jamie's Skaven suffered a bad GFI tumble
Jamie: Yes, this wasn't my finest hour as a Skaven coach. Two significant unforced errors and a few very bad rolls were sufficient to ensure my failure, plus the interception of a pass by a saurus! Still, a couple of textbook touchdowns occurred, and it wasn't a complete mashing; however, it is clear to me that playing lots of online Blood Bowl has possibly dulled my ability to remember to move the turn counter on, and so I really need to watch this for the future; I can't afford to lose those rerolls!
Stu played generally well and conservatively, as a starting Lizardman coach should, and didn't make too many errors that could be exploited. V are currently the team to watch...!

The Elves had the best of the first half, but the Amazons blocked well, coming back in the second half strongly to even the score. A severely depleted Elf team was able to prevent a third Amazon touch down with some delaying tactics, leaving the score at 2 all.
